A successful dive, and the enduring memories they engender, isn’t strictly defined by underwater sights; an often overlooked and underrated aspect of any scuba experience involves how you get to and from each location.

Unlike most dive facilities which use native outriggers for the deployment and return of their dive guests, Sangat employs a virtual fleet of immaculately-maintained, scuba-specific dive craft to ferry our guests to and from various dive locations in the utmost of safety and comfort.

Go-Fast Craft

Getting you to various wrecks and reefs in the fastest possible time is the main mission of our fleet of speedboats.

Fully outfitted with tank racks, boarding ladders, O2 boxes and other scuba-specific gear, these comfortable, modern tenders provided the fastest means of getting you out to the site, back to the resort for meals, and then back out again.

Our current five-vessel complement of speed-craft includes four 9-meter, 150-horse tenders (roomy enough for up to 8 divers), as well as three 5.3-meter, 50-horse models which comfortably seat up to 4 divers.

Large Capacity Outriggers

For large dive parties that all want to dive on one or more locations at the same time, we can provide our extra-large native outrigger (or Banka boat, in native parlance) for the mission.

Our 20-meter twin-outrigger, powered by a 250-horsepower engine, is large enough to accommodate a total of 16 divers and equipment with room to spare.

Yacht style dive boat

The largest of the dive fleet is the 12-meter motor yacht, the KY-LY-TAN.

Generally reserved for group day trips, the KY-LY-TAN offers a large open lower deck that can easily accommodate groups up to 15 divers, a roomy sun deck and more. On-board diving and water-sports equipment includes full diving gear for each guest, a Bauer compressor, and two double-passenger kayaks. The KY-LY-TAN is powered by a 6 cylinder 315 HP diesel engine and has a top speed of 15 knots and cruises at 10 knots.

Trimaran

The trimaran, Trident, is ideal for full day dive safaris for dive groups up to 10. This 12 meter long fibre glass trimaran was custom built to Sangat’s specifications and has large steps at the stern of the boat allowing easy and stable access for divers. Trident is powered by a 6 cylinder 250 HP diesel engine and has a top speed of 15 knots and cruises at 10 knots.
